My Youthful Vision of the Fountain Still to be Brought to Life
My name is Larkin Chollar and I would like to share with you the origin of my desire to create ”The Fountain”. In the spring of 1971 after meeting a profound spiritual challenge, yet being in a state of mind-blown sadness and grief for beloved friends, I walked out of the rainy northwest town where I grew up and put my thumb out with just the clothes on my back. Getting in the warm backseat of a car I closed my eyes and took a deep breath of relief. I was on my way south to the sun.
Suddenly I was having one of the most remarkable experiences of my life. A vision. It was totally complete and viewable from any direction. I could zoom up on areas or view it from a distance. Although, as visions tend to be, it was ineffable, I will try to give you the gist of it:
The vision was of the earth represented as a huge bowl……I saw in the center a Being holding his arms out in profound beneficent offering. Life-giving water flowed through his fingers to two lakes below. This central column took my attention at first, but then I seemed to zoom back to see the whole of life that was happening in this bowl containing desert, forest and plains. The bowl formed a large circular arena for life to express itself. On the outer periphery of the bowl there were people absently gazing off the edge, milling about or lolling in relaxation. Some were ignoring each other: some were making it harder for others. In general on the outer edge they all just seemed to be separate, unquestioning, and unfocused.
Then in the next concentric area towards the center there were people living, helping each other, building, growing food…being human on Earth. Family scenes, mothers nursing babies, lovers embracing, farmers farming. Trees, plants and rocks expressed their gifts to humanity in this area. I saw struggle as well as co-operation.
As I looked towards the center there seemed to be a transition…the next area in had groups of people sitting down in each of the four directions. In each group, farthest from the center, but looking toward that amazing central figure,there was a standing person seeming to be a teacher describing for those sitting, what they could see in the center. Now looking closer, I noticed that those nearest to the center were beginning to curiously look over their shoulders towards the center for themselves…only to see that others have risen from the group and are walking towards the center with looks of joy and a feeling of strength. As they come together in celebration and remembrance, they begin to spiral up in the air as they move forward.
The bodies spiral around, around and up and up and then begin to form surrealistic yet beautiful faces and then the larger faces are spiraling yet further upward in Oneness toward the two powerful male and female faces on the chest of the OverSoul figure who seems to hold such love and compassion for all. The arms above are coursed with muscles and veins and the hands are of great strength and sensitivity.
The face amazed me with kindness, depth and peaceful power. The face seemed to depict so many virtues. When seen from the front there was open outward pouring love and kindness. The left side showed a powerful aestheticism that seemed to be looking just as strongly within. Beneficent is the word that comes closest to the feeling. Vast love that holds no pain or angst but is simply Love radiating.
I could see that I was being shown that there is no hierarchy. It looks like there is evolution moving toward the center but the vision was saying…Oneness is ALL of life.
I was able to look at this vision for about 20 minutes. It was so clear in my mind, yet I said nothing to the driver nor to any of my friends when I reached Phoenix. I kept it close to my heart. I had been doing art since I was a kid and I did a great deal of art for shows and won a lot of juried competitions during high school. I had been sculpting on pottery by a master potter, doing original fine art pieces for galleries in Seattle. So I assumed this vision had something to do with my artistic imagination, but to be honest, I wasn’t at all sure what it meant or where it came from.
It wasn’t until about 1973 that I met a beautiful young woman, Peta. I felt a kindred spirit in her and I told her about ”The Fountain”, which is what I now called it in my mind. It was inspiring to think of just getting good enough to create it. When I described the vision to Peta, acting out the various areas, she immediately could see it and told me that it was of extraordinary significance for the time of awakening to Oneness that was coming and that we should begin to work towards ”Doing the Fountain.”
To make a long story short, that beautiful woman and I married, went through some crazy times in the early 70’s, had a son, Bo, and after three years separated. I soon married my second wife and kept working as a sculptor, always just wanting to work and work just to get better so I could create The Fountain. I had a daughter, Sarah and son, Clay. We lived in the mountains of Santa Cruz. In 1982 Bo, my first son, died at 8 and my heart was struck down just as I had made contacts, received recognition and was asked to do major works of sculpture for big name galleries. I retreated into my art in a way that was mostly disconnected. The wind was totally taken out of my sails for taking art to the world and I didn’t even return calls to the galleries seeking my work. I started a garden statuary business to ”get by” and kept my fine art private. My children grew up and my wife and I divorced.
I write this letter to honor my return to a joyful willing heart. In June of 2005 I called Peta and said ”If you want to be with me come and take my arm.” She did and we have been on a healing journey together. With the changes of energy on the planet and help from Peta who channels the Angels of Divine Grace as well as teachers like Eckhart Tolle… I feel that I am waking up…over and over in layers of awakening and mirrors of realization. Like many others it seems we are being cleared so we can make the divine visible in the art of life. As it is said, ”We are the ones we have been waiting for.”
Peta is building this website calling the Soul Group of Beauty to re-member with us to create the new World of Divine Beauty. Where are you guys?

The Fountain may come immediately if some person or group can commission or sponsor it. It may evolve into full expression after drawing together a number of people that are seeking to make the Divine Visible and model Oneness. As I continue to go through changes and the years turn one upon another I yearn to answer the call to create this vision. I must believe that I am not ”late” but that this is the time that my Soul has planned for the fruition of a life of developing my skill and opening to the virtue that can flow from my hands into the hearts of those who receive the vision through its physical creation.
I am looking for people who share this vision of Oneness of all Being and Spirit. I feel moved to help bring this transcendental model of Oneness to the planet, not alone but with others who feel and understand. I am looking for people who would be willing to support this vision financially or energetically as an investment from which they would receive plentifully.
